Technical Game Designer
I am a dedicated designer with a passion for crafting engaging, player-oriented experiences. I adore games that make the user think and provide meaningful interactions. As such, my personal design philosophy revolves around the player. I specialize in data-driven design to craft games tailored to target audiences in an informed manner.
On a more personal note, video games have been part of my life since I was a child. The moments when games “blew my mind” serve as my inspiration. The “would you kindly” reveal in BioShock, reclaiming Denerim with my allies in Dragon Age: Origins, and when the younger brother returns home alone in Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons are just a few examples. I would love to create similar moments to inspire and entertain future players.
Outside of video games I enjoy traveling, bouldering, and pondering the human condition. Before game design, I trained as a Researcher and Professor. I earned my Doctorate in Sociology from Florida State University. My dissertation project examined men and women’s divergent gaming experiences and identities. I also have three years of college-level teaching experience with courses such as Social Problems and The Social Psychology of Groups. I aim to bring my knowledge of human society and pedagogy to my future teams, supporting my teammates and learning all I can along the way.
